Leonard Marvin Coleman

Leonard Marvin Coleman, 82, of Katy, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
Leonard was born in La Grange, Texas on March 25, 1941, the son of Evelyn Ruby (Kocian) and Warrie Vernon Coleman.
Leonard graduated from Columbus High School in 1959. He married his high school sweetheart, Tishie Norweita Smith at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus, Texas on November 6, 1960. They raised three daughters. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
He worked as a Foundryman, casting metals, but in his spare time he loved spending time with family. He never knew a stranger and always asked “what cha know good?”. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh - stirring the pot any chance he could. He was the kind of guy that would give the shirt off his back if he could help someone. He loved to tinker and fix things. He took great pride in
caring for his yard and loved to mow! He loved to drive and listen to old country western. He made a huge impact on anyone he ever met. Every person he encountered became family.
He is survived by his wife, Tishie Norweita (Smith) Coleman; three daughters: Julie Collette and husband, Gary of Hockley, TX; Cherrie Fish of Katy, TX and Connie Price of Katy, TX: granddaughters: Stephanie Holchak and husband, Travis of Katy ,TX; Tiffany Escue and husband Kevin, of Hockley, TX; and Kaila Price and partner, Brian Garbs of Sealy, TX; grandsons: Austin Price of Houston, TX; Christian Fish and wife, Marissa of Longview, TX; Braedon Fish and partner, Courtney Schultz of Katy, TX; Rathe Fish of Katy TX; Christopher Price of Sealy, TX; great granddaughters: Paytin Charles of Sealy, TX; Presley Escue of Hockley, TX; and Charlotte Fish of Longview, TX; great grandsons: Brock Thorndell of Hockley, TX; Bryce and Slade Holchak of Katy, TX; Vegas Price of Richmond, TX; Bradley, Christian, and Cooper Garbs of Sealy, TX; and Christian Davis of Sealy, TX and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Ruby (Kocian) and Warrie Vernon Coleman and grandparents, Frank & Julia Kocian.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Crematory, 109 E. State Hwy 71, Ellinger, TX 78938. Family will receive friends at this time. Following service please meet family at Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall at 104 W. Colorado Sky St., Ellinger, TX 78938 for food, gathering, and a celebration of the life Leonard lived.
