The Bellville High School girl’s basketball team has start- ed their season not too hot, but not too cold either as they hold a record near .500 to start the ’23’24 season.

COLUMBUS — La Grange boy’s basketball took down Columbus High School Dec. 5 at the Marley Giddens Center in Columbus by a final score of 52-44. As it was a close game at halftime, La Grange found their edge by executing in crunch time with crucial playmaking.

WHARTON — The La Grange High School boy’s basketball team was defeated by Wharton High School Nov. 27 at Tigers Gym by a final score of 66-58. La Grange hung tough with Wharton throughout this match, but Wharton's athleticism and ability to get to the basket was a little too much for the Leopards. “I felt like we needed to be able to play the way we played in that second half,” said La Grange head boy’s basketball coach Trent Collier.
