COLUMBUS – Maranda Dominguez received a $500 Classroom Grant from the Columbus Education Foundation (CEF) to purchase spe- cific "learning tools" for her fifth-grade math students. She has wished for roll-away white boards for some time. Her CEF Classroom Grant will make her wish come true! Dominguez wants to use these white boards with small groups working together to solve problems. The white boards can inspire students to feel more comfortable speaking in math class. Better communication skills are one of many bonuses she plans to garner in her attempts to help her students solve math problems.
