LA GRANGE – La Grange girl’s basketball won by annihilation Jan.12 at Leopards Gym in La Grange by defeating Manor New Tech High School with a fi nal score of 67-6. This match was lopsided from the very start and La Grange was way too much for Manor New Tech to handle, resulting in tons of easy baskets and layups. "We'll watch film, see what the girls did well,” said La Grange head girl’s basketball coach Heath Golan.

GIDDINGS – The La Grange High School boy’s basketball team traveled to Giddings High School Jan. 9 and went home with a win at Buffaloes Gym in Giddings by a final score of 68- 41. The Leopards had control for the entire game with their shot making and ability to create offense by good defense. “We really are trying to hang our hat on defense,” said La Grange head boy’s basketball coach Trent Collier.

Turtle Wing Toast coming up in January
SCHULENBURG – The Turtle Wing Foundation's annual Toast event is slated for Thursday, Jan.25, at Sengelmann Hall, upstairs, in Schulenburg. Doors open and cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. with hors'devours and a cash bar. The program begins at 7 p.m. The Turtle Wing Toast is a free event where all are welcome. The event's continued theme is to 'Remember, Rejoice, Renew' - remember how we started, rejoice in our accomplishments, and renew our mission for the new year. This year, the program, 'A Lasting Legacy' will be highlighting the legacy of Turtle Wing and the future legacy of The Challenger League, which is a baseball league for those with disabilities under the Weimar Little League umbrella.
