Columbus VVA 1127 hosts successful benefit golf tournament
COLUMBUS – The Vietnam Veterans of America Post 1127 hosted their 3rd Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on June 10 at the Columbus City Golf Course. Fifteen, four-person teams, participated, on a perfect Saturday morning, to enjoy the competition for three-place prizes totaling $1,800.

Seniors gather for fun and games at the Stafford Opera House
COLUMBUS - Seniors from around the county came for a good time socializing, playing games, eating a good lunch and, of course, playing Bingo. The first-ever gathering of a county-wide social group for seniors had everyone laughing and smiling. After an opening prayer, over 36 people and six volunteers got busy having fun. Future gatherings include educational speakers, day trips, dances and more Bingo.
