SEALY - The Sealy Knights of Columbus will be serving their Famous Grilled Pork Steak Drive Thru Dinner for $12 a plate on Sunday, June 25, at the Sealy Columbus Club (KC) Hall at 1310 Hwy 90 West, Sealy. Serving from 10:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. or until sold out.

COLUMBUS – The Vietnam Veterans of America Post 1127 hosted their 3rd Annual Benefit Golf Tournament on June 10 at the Columbus City Golf Course. Fifteen, four-person teams, participated, on a perfect Saturday morning, to enjoy the competition for three-place prizes totaling $1,800.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Schulenburg Shorthorn Band recently traveled to Washington, D.C. While there, the band visited and laid a wreath at the Texas Column of the World War II Memorial in honor of those Texans who made the ultimate sacrifice during WWII. The band marched down Constitution Avenue in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.

SEALY – Austin County Judge Tim Lapham gave his State of the County address to a large crowd gathered June 7 at the Columbus Hall in Sealy. The Lunch -N- Learn was very informative and, as many know, Judge Lapham’s sense of humor was entertaining. He was texted by Jeff Virnau early morning of the luncheon. He said, “See you at the chamber meeting, hope we have a good speaker!” Judge Lapham replied, “Me, too!”
