The Colorado County Sheriff's Office received a call about human remains found near Sandy Creek on Shell Plant Road on July 17, 1976, in Sheridan. This case was initially investigated by Sher - iff "Doc" Mueller, Chief Deputy Jim Broussard, Investigator Bill Esterling, and Deputy James Brooks. Justice of the Peace Pct. 1, Judge Richard Schmidt, arrived and requested an autopsy at the Harris County Medi - cal Examiners' Office. Topics covered will include Hunting Safety and Laws; Navigating Hunting Leases – Do’s and Don’ts; Public Hunting Opportunities in Texas; and Ask the Game Warden. Our speakers include personnel from Texas Parks and Wildlife, a practicing attorney with a passion for helping landowners navigate hunting leases, and a local game warden.
