CHPT holds online auction to fund 1886 Stafford Opera House repairs

COLUMBUS - The Colum - bus Historical Preservation Trust (CHPT) will hold its 3rd Annual Have Yourself a Tasty Little Holiday online auction from Nov. 8 – 12. Funds raised will support CHPT's "Save Our Opera House" capital campaign and will allow the organization to make much-needed repairs to the 1886 Stafford Opera House. On the priority list of repairs is

COLUMBUS – Downtown Columbus was abuzz with excitement Oct. 14 as the kickoff to an evening at the old Brunson Saloon began. Event-goers lined up and enjoyed appetizers and then a dinner. There was a silent and live auction with music by DJ Jamie Cruz. A highlight was the live painting done by artist Stephen Henry, which was auctioned off towards the end of the evening. Proceeds from the event benefits the Live Oak Art Center’s educational outreach and programming, children’s art classes, facilities management and scholarship programs.
