SCHULENBURG - The Greater Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce is presenting the Holiday In The Country Arts and Crafts Show on Sunday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held at the Schulen - burg Hall at 405 South St. in Schulenburg. There will be handmade crafts, Christmas decor, baked goods, wood crafts, plants, crosses, gift bags, jewelry and so much more. COLORADO COUNTY - The Deputy Santa program, host - ed by the Colorado CountySher - iffs Office will be in full swing for this Christmas. Applications may be picked up for the program at the sheriff’s office or the Family Youth and Services at 514 Washington St. in Columbus. All applications must be sub - mitted by Dec. 1 by 5 p.m. at the sheriff office or Family Youth and Services.

COLUMBUS – The Live Oaks and Dead Folks Cemetery tour on Nov. 5 was eerily busy for a cemetery. Folks, not just ghosts, were visiting sites of interest to learn a little about the history and the movers and shakers of Columbus in the distant and their good and not-sogood pasts.

Fayette County 4-H members competed Oct. 21 in the Brazoria County Livestock Judging Contest.
