BELLVILLE – Bellville Police Chief Jason Smalley issued a statement of shots fired in Bell ville and a subject arrested. Carlo DeWayne Shelly, 26, of Dallas was arrested last night at the Park Place Apartments, located at 20 South Mechanic St. in Bellville. Shelly was issued a criminal trespass warning earlier in the day and was removed from the property by request.

SEALY– The Sealy Police Department responded to a reported aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon on May 12, around 7:15 p.m. in the 1600 Block of Hwy 90 West.

WALLIS – Wallis PD re- ceived eight ballistic rifle shields through a grant with no cost to taxpayers. The $49,000 cost for the shields is small compared to the ways this could protect law enforcement and help save lives.

BELLVILLE – The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run came through Bellville on May 18. Bellville Police Officer Victoria Bell carried the torch representing Bellville PD. Law enforcement runners made their way through town. Runners represented a multitude of agencies from the southeastern region of Texas.
