BASTROP – Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors unanimously voted during its April meeting to return $6.23 million in capital credits to member-owners of the cooperative, an increase of more than $500,000 over last year. Beginning in May, Bluebonnet’s members will receive a credit on their electric bill for their share of $6.23 million in capital credits.

Stolen vehicles recovered

The Austin County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) and the Colorado County Sher- iff's Office conducted a joint operation on April 24 to recover stolen property in the 1200 block of Bostik Road in Colorado County. At the scene, deputies recovered two vehicles recently stolen in New Ulm, as well as items from recent Colorado County burglaries. In addition, deputies located stolen items from the burglary at Systems Painters in New Ulm.
