Tri-County and Double G joins Columbus Chamber

HEMPSTEAD – Fausto Romero-Lomeli, 37, was indicted by an Austin County Grand Jury for Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child on Nov. 15. An Austin County deputy currently assigned to the US Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force was given the task of locating and arresting Romero-Lomeli.

WEIMAR – Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Austin and Colorado counties is partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife to host a Feathers, Furs, and Farming program on Saturday, Dec. 15. The focus of this program will center around Wildlife Tax Valuation. Two general CEUs will be offered for TDA Pesticide Applicators.

BELLVILLE – The Austin County Regional Special Response Team (SRT) executed search warrants and an arrest warrant Nov. 29 at a property located in the 4000 block of Coshatte Road in Bellville. These warrants were the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation led by the Westside Narcotics Task Force (HIDTA).

COLUMBUS - The Columbus Elementary PTO will have Breakfast with Santa Saturday, Dec. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Columbus Hall located at 3845 I-10 Frontage Rd. in Columbus. The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Hot cocoa, Christmas music, Santa and the Merry on Main Movie Night followed with grilled hotdogs and a traditional Christmas movie. This event leads up to the Pa - rade of Lights and festivities on Saturday, Dec. 9, starting at 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Parade of Lights is always fun as many people will pull out all the stops on decorating their floats while others line the streets in antic- ipation of seeing unique floats, music, food and shopping in Ea- gle Lake. The parade kicks off at 6:45 p.m.
